Hypocrisy

Hypocrisy

Walk a hall of unexistence
breath in the fictitious air
beam a fake smile in the midst of unreality
pound a fist in the game of pretend.
For pretending is real,
    isn't it?
Walk the hall of unexistence
in hopes of finding true friends
search a back pocket for confidence
scope your wallet for respect.
Walk these halls of unexistence
wave to fake friends
frown at unfamiliar faces
Walk the halls of unexistence
only to drive home happily,
into the real world,
    and it is real,
wave to anyone and everyone, smile at all.
the World is your friend,
but you
are a hypocrite.
