Shades, Hues and Tints

Cupid puckers in pensiveness
bow-shaped lips, daubed
coquettish ruby-rose

Sweat trickles, drips down,
mingles with flinty feet,
stains ballerina shoes crimson

Mellow hazel burns gold,
sways the stony brown,
under midnight blue skies

Yellow moon, charged romance
wane under faint fuchsia light,
abandoned in sepia tone

Highlighter sketches doodles
along the margins of math book
fluorescent green, blue

You have managed to capture so many colours, hues and tints in this poem, such a variety of visuals to enjoy.

I like the way this poem moves and changes....from the romantic and ethereal to the reality of ballet shoes and doodling. You've indeed covered the entire colour wheel here - well done.

Thank you for this very colourful entry.

It is really interesting to see how and where mind drifts after this kind of prompt. But, oh well... we are poets, aren't we? Nice work.
