Oceans across
The destination waits
And I am on
A wing
And a prayer.
Tireless belief
Is strenghtening my flight
And making me
Take
The Oceans in my stride.
Tears of strife
Are rolling down
My wing
And washing off my pain
With the breeze of
My prayer.
For oceans across
The destination waits
And I am on
A wing
And a prayer.
A wing that sails through
Unseen wind
With the power of
An ever-heard prayer.
A prayer that dances
On the heartbeat of
Every breath I take
Exhaling faith, inhaling bliss!
Please tell me what you think

Even in silence, the yearning thoughts of our hearts are heard, far beyond the horizon. There are no greater forces than faith, hope & love. Well done, Poet.

This seemed to me, a very Godly poem. Lovely, breathtaking. Like someone in pain asking for help maybe. Very beautifully written.

bravo
This made me think of the World War II song with the same title..."a wing and prayer" has now become part of the language... a nicely done poem here which might also make a good lyric as well... bravo... bravo... -
when i first saw the title could not help but think of the WW II autobiographical book and movie of 'carrier' war in the pacific ANYWAY kinda' standard title of faith good opening lines very strong ending exhaling faith-inhaling bliss thanks for sharing regards zaj

good job
prayers winging their way to God surely can make a difference. Calms fears and doubts, bring comfort and healing, soothe loneliness and dismay and so much more. I love the verses in the Bible that speak of God's wing sprad out for us to cover, protect and to comfort. I can just feel myself at times in the shelter of his wings. Lovely write. childlike faith
