Value of Words

Words can be like math, you know
Each integer has one single value,
Unchangeable and known
Words have value, too.
Love, for instance, ranges in the 80s,
Because though powerful, it is sadly overused.
Hate is such a strong word,
It comes in with 30
The count goes down, of course.
Things become more valuable as they approach zero,
For there are millions of numbers far from that middle line,
But only a select few are close.
Words like babe, bimbo, blonde,
All reach high into 3000.
The word ‘like’ is a number to high to pronounce.
The value of supercalifradulisticexpealidocous has yet to be calculated.
Orange is 15, because nothing rhymes with it.
But the amazing thing is that, just like with numbers,
When I string a line of words together,
The value of the whole changes in such an
Unpredictable manner.
‘I’ and ‘you’, for instance,
Such paltry words with little value.
But when I add in ‘love’…
My whole equation runs haywire.

This is really really creative and different.

Not something conventional, yet I was totally sucked in. The beginning seemed kind of scattered but the last four lines tied it all together, and gave it a purpose.
    Amazing. Way to go!!
