a hint from Byron

She talks in mystery despite
the thousand times we spoke with sighs;
And when I tried to set things right
Her true thoughts could I ne’er surmise
Thus softened ‘neath her verbal might
I wait the day I’ll gain her prize.

One word the more, one sound the less
Would half impair her vocal grace
That causes me to acquiesce
How much I long to give embrace
Though this the wish I must suppress
No other thoughts can this replace.

    A very well written piece of poetry. I can see the hidden love crush throughout. Good luck in the contest.
