The sky appears phantasmagorical
As I imagine drowned sailors
Rising from the sea
A host of spectres
Looming forward
To walk through me
In their search for home
And rest
How can I explain
The land is a figment of lost thoughts
Like the ever illusive
Mythical dragon
And that if they wish to find release
They must return to the ocean bed
And snuff the blazing coals
That act as eyes

This piece has a strong sense of longing about it, especially the second stanza. What can I say about the first stanza? Great visual and it greatly reminded me of 'Rhyme of The Ancient Mariner', which is not a bad thing.
Good write.

well done write
interesting and different view of the prompt, don't see the purpose of caps at the beginning of each line, but still a good write
Thanks for entering and good luck in the contest
