Grab the bottle and take a swig,
let the world be left behind.
As the alcohol sets in,
your true feelings begin.
The alcohol shows me your true colors,
and shows what you hide.
Day by day you lie and say,
you are over your love,
and you don't care anymore.
Take a few drinks,
and watch the secrets unfold.
You flirt with other girls,
and they flirt back.
You say you still care about me,
and yet you have a girlfriend?
I won't be the one to take the fault.
Not this time around.
You show how you really think,
all along.
All along you feel this way,
but keep them hidden and locked away.
Don't show love,
don't show fear.
Show no hatred,
and show no care.
When you drink,
your secrets are spilled.
Your secrets are like liquor out of the bottle.
Pour it on the table, and sort it all out.
Pick the ones you like,
hide the ones you don't.
What you say when you are drunk,
is what you really think when your sober.
Make up your mind.

I hate what alcohol does to people.
This is a really powerful poem and it gets your message across well.
