Pristine

My gaze sweeps down from on this cloud,
To trees and fields and rivers blue,
The sight, pristine, God has allowed,
My lofty home, I'm born anew.

As leaves turn shades of red and gold,
And creatures small and great draw near,
The perfect balance I uphold,
For I'm the only man up here.

Hereon my porch two ravens nest,
And crickets chirp throughout the night,
The calming stir of dawn's request,
Is brought to life, this soothing sight.

Hey, you have a beautiful writing style! I love the imagery in this, it gives such a wonderful vivid picture! BTW, I noticed on your page you like Amy Lee, I'm also an aspiring vocalist and she's my muse as well! How cool! Hope all is well. Keep your head up and your gaze will follow!
