Left and Right

An insult escapes by a passer-by,
Another nail in the coffin to a soul,
A girl who is not of the normal standards.
The girl who looks different outwardly.

She ignores them as she always does,
Somtimes even cursing them back,
That's the only thing she can do.
The pain is too much for her inside.

The outsiders do not see her,
The person inside of this girl.
The hurtful words they speak,
How they torment her in her sleep.

Her pain is driven deep,
Too deep for even the gods to see.
Its definately clear to her,
That no mortal cares for her.

The quarls that involve her,
She doesn't start, nor finishes.
The odd one out during social events,
That is the fate she has been dealt.

Why does she have to suffer so much,
To endure what others have done to her?
The simple choice of going left on her own,
Instead of going right like everyone else.

Author notes

this is basically inspired by the epic story Beowulf and my own past personal experiences. Its self explainitory, but basically the message goes for anyone.

I haven't seen the movie beowulf
but this is a sad and heart wrenching write
those who shun and pick dont know the hurt they cause and if they do they don't care.
as always you write with your heart
    Keep the ink flowing
