I lay awake at night,
Waiting.
For what?
I have no idea.
Finally it comes.
A green eyed angel in disguise.
Her hair is golden,
And her body is small yet perfect.
The halo on her head,
Was a shining silver.
Mesmerizing as she spoke,
Her soft angelic words.
She then turned and confused me,
With a boyfriend at her side.
What is this?
I wondered.
Boyfriends are nothing but walls,
That can be climbed.
Nothing to me,
But a challenge.
So when you said you were taken,
I smiled,
For like the Oracle at Delphi,
I knew the truth in your heart.
One day, you were working,
A creature as beautiful,
As wonderous as you,
Should not have to work.
I got down on my knees to help,
You hugged me,
Kissed me,
Rubbed me.
And I simply smiled,
Now I am the one at your side,
Maybe not your right but your left,
I am the other man.
