Sitting here pensively, I watch
As they expectantly look my way and talk
Never amazed by their shallow hearts
Always amused that I am unerringly their target
For once too introverted to feel the poison
Inflicted by their venomous tongues
Painful words that once reduced me to helpless tears
Fall gratefully without a sound upon deaf ears
For no longer will I fall pray
To the emotional crimes
Never again will my mind be raped
By empty, childish minds

This left me feeling uplifted, and hopeful. You have turned a major corner, started a new chapter. Gives a major boost to all those who feel downtrodden.
