I stand for my country, my flag and my home,
proudly I honour them all.
I will do my best to face what is there,
praying to God I won’t fall.
Saying goodbye was the hardest part,
leaving all those I love behind.
I know I am one of the luckiest guys
to have two loves on my mind.
They both wait my return, and return I will,
back home to their embrace.
My girl will hold me in her arms real tight,
my best pal will lick my face.
I know they are safe and sound at home,
Rodney will defend my sweet Hun.
She will look after my pal real good
until this tour of duty is done.

aww thank you. this brought tears to my eyes, because Rob said something similar the last time we spoke. He said to give Rodney his love, since he's my bodyguard til he gets home. I love both my men for sure. Thank you for your entry.

A very refreshing look at the relationships between animal and master-touching in many ways this-how we forget that when we leave our loved ones we overlook our man's best friend-bless them all cos they have feelings too more than anyone. xxx

This is such a wonderful take on the picture prompt! I enjoyed it very much. Your imagery made it all very vivid for me to enjoy.
