Wonderment

I watched you sleep, and wondered
As the sky cracked, and thundered
Will you be mine for the rest of your life?
Will this end, or will I be your wife?

I get hope, when I look in your eyes
Because you say one thing, but in them no lies.
Maybe I see, what you try to hide.
The very things in me, you won't confide.

And as you slept, I wondered too
Everything that I am, What I meant to you.
I ran my fingers through your hair,
I closed my eyes, and know you care.

I breath in your scent,
and I find myself content.
Yet, in this moment is just alittle peace.
Tomorrow I will find it, decrease.

So I wrap my arms around you,
And tell my heart to wonder, about what to do.
In them I find some dreams,
Some of them crazy, some of them have a means.

And when I wake beside you, in the day
Somehow even if I wonder, I know it'll be okay.
