Dawn Nears

Tranquility rains cross the valley below
Yet no sleep or rest shall this night bestow

Crimson horizon prepares to give birth
To the last cruel night before hell on earth

The high cliffs ring while trained mallets sing
Death cleavers are born with each ping and cling

Mighty dwarves slave, through cold quartz-clad caverns
War times drawn near, no time for the taverns

Great hammer falls, molten steel is molded
Lurid sparks erupt, blade once more folded

Haggard hands hurry they must finish quick
Pounding out armor while nightfall grows thick

Moment by moment the hand slowly ticks
So little time left till blood and soil mix

From beyond beyond where dark madness roams
Midnight’s creatures come to claim new homes
