Drinking myself in to oblivion,
What kind of hell am I living in.
Choking on words that I've said before,
Wishing that you would just walk through this door.
And find a way to save me from myself,
This drinking denial is not good for my health.
Listen to me, we are one in the same,
Hear my dear voice it is screaming your name. Throwing confessions, right out of my mouth.
Watching my life as it's spiraling South.
I think I've already said to much,
Sitting and dreaming, of your touch.
Can I pick up and move on with my will,
Right now I don't know as I feel a cold chill.
Run down my veins,
and pulsing my brain,
Drank and got high,
until I'm insane.
Author notes
I preach so much how drinking and smoking to solve problems was wring. Until one night I found myself spiraling in to a self created hell. I guess it took a massive hang over, and slight alcohol poisoning to wake me up. I need to learn not to take rejection so hard.

Wow!
I guess that is what it takes. Almost dying and you realize what you have been done. Very well done! -
I'm glad you entered this into my contest. I had no idea that you had. It's really a very good poem.
