In passing -
some will turn to God in shock
others - to words
and whispered tears
kissed soft by madrigal refrains
imaginary angels
here among us
once again.
In passing -
some will scream their anger raw
in all their loss
and longing
whilst others will dwell
on autumn leaves that flurry strange -
snow-flakes dancing
upon a truly
idiot wind.
Yet for all our mortal ways
of déjà vu and mourning
it is for tomorrow
I am troubled
for a smitten Sun shall
wake to shine
with one more precious
smiling beam
departed.

Neat.
Very textured in capturing the often unspoken differentiation in approach and spiritual awareness. And yes: with the focus on mortality, immortality is illuminated too ...
Strong poetry.
