Evil Imaginings

From the rhythm of my pulse
penned in drops of blooded ink
the dagger is my quill

Concealed, congealed
wounded written script
from the rhythm of my pulse

Your conception
reflects repulsion
penned in drops of blooded ink

Embodiment of thought
your death draws closer

THE DAGGER IS MY QUILL!

I was intrigued by the title, so alien to Lilac's colourful beauty. I see a poison pen or an angry Quill with a deadly message... Evil heart and mind

What a beautiful, and thoughtful write in brevity...The ending was fantastic and the eccentric font just led to it's flavour!Very well deserving of the gold.Good luck

Really neat, but I think the capitalization in the end is not necessary. Congratulations on the gold. Thank you for sharing this with the group.

Thanks for your comments animated, much appreciated

The capitalization is purposely done, because of the emotion I was feeling when writing it...

When read out aloud, I wanted to emphasize the fact that the voice should be raised louder on the last line...if you read it out aloud, you will feel the affect I wanted to achieve, especially when taking the picture into consideration as well...

Your sense of colour is always awesome, even when dark, The togetherness with that and the expression
of the poem are well done as always

This was definitely deserving of the gold... I really like the way you used form poetry and word restriction together to create such a horror-ific poem and alliteration - I love alliteration thank you for sharing

    Keep writing

Good title and interpretation of picture prompt. Eerie and dark. Very good form. I'm not familiar with the cascade, but it is creative and I like it. Good imagery, flow and tone. Deep expression of emotion. Good descriptives, word choice, alliteration and assonance. Thank you for your entry.

I don't usually enjoy dark writes all that much but coming from you, it's really good one~

Yikes, kind of a freaky write, and yet it can be taken differently on so many levels. It was perhaps not your intention, but with the dagger being a quill, maybe the beast is writer's block, or some other obstacle to writing one might face. I like that the poem doesn't depend on the picture to make sense, which shows it was rather skillfully written indeed.

First time I have heard of this cascade form you mention in your author notes. A great write for this picture - liked the alliteration in these lines. Impressive presentation - coloring, and poem.
