No, really, it happened just that way!

It gets lonely in the mind sometimes
but would we have it any other way

better than to scrub
the dirty tracks they'd walk
poking, prodding, pilfering
through violated brain

just leave a girl to talk
the lone refrain

resting on my bed one day
awoke to cloistered claustrophobia

and ached to break away
this dead-end weight
of flesh and paltry
human me

exhumed
but not yet free

Author notes

golden shining beckoning
it can get a little eerie inside of here

Please tell me what you think

Alone in the brain is a must. Loneliness? Should be an infrequent thing I guess.

    Who be they?

Whoobever, turn the tables on em'.

'Cloistered claustrophobia' sounds like a triple negative, as this strikes me as 'fear of close closeness.' So, this makes what you are searching more difficult.

    Conclusivness is dodgy, though.

      Hey you!

No, feeling loneliness in the actual brain pan is for the most part an unheard of thing I suspect.

And the they is any rotters, like mind-readers or such, able to traipse about in there. I don't think any of us would be up for that. Too much personal business going on that we, none of us, would share unless by duress.

But I do swear and declare that I once or twice have felt something akin to an almost trapped sensation. Like I was completely alone inside of here and I felt a twinge of semi-panic for a mili-second or two.

It's kind of how I know there's more to the grand scheme than just this *looks down at body* physical grand scheme.

We all perhaps part of a spiritual consciousness that, somewhere out there, others are cognizant of.

I mean what is prayer but that attempt to communicate spiritually?

      Thanks.

It will come eventually you know, that liberation of the spirit following the liberation of the mind. The body of course is immaterial.

Oh hello stranger! It's been ages since you've dropped by. I'm thrilled. And I'm glad you liked.

And what you say is quite true I believe. Though contrary to my little ditty up there I am rather fond of the body bit too! And perhaps shall miss it. But not if I can FLY I won't! I shan't be seen for dust, my spirit soaring to heights and far planetary reaches! I might even circle Uranus!

Thanks so much, dear De B.

Thanks. I appreciate it. I remember what you said, so I know you aren't just rattling the tree to see my nuts drop! Ha Ha, sorry, just couldn't resist that little visual.
