I see a light at tunnel's end
beckoning, brightly,
I hear my name called out softly
as a dare; testing any necessary
courage to come see, feel.
Overpowering, yet I ask,
would I be sheltered from life's storms...
Would it love me, keep me safe, warm,
I see a light at tunnel's end
undecided I let it be.
In numbing stance, I am mesmerized;
while I quietly watch this ray of light dance.
In shadows I stand unseen,
invisible, untouchable;
just like an ethereal gathering of mystical beings.
Quietly [as to not allow it to perceive me]
I hear a call to the spirits
that go unseen but, not unheard.
Here I am at the end of the tunnel, alone,
knowing I look absurd.
I see a light at tunnel's end
and so, I dare take a first step to see
whilst I let my soul run wild, run free,
As I am waiting,
to feel the light's touch.
