Old school sturdy
and old school green
it yearns for action
while plotting
against the lawnmower

I like the life these things assumed, and it did give me a little chuckle.

Best wishes in the contest,

Due to the large number of entries, I won't be commenting on each piece but will certainly be reading and rereading them all. I wanted to thank you for your entry here, I hope to have the contest judged fairly soon...

I like your personification here...
I also like how your imagery of things here symbolizes weather...

Thank you...so cute...I remember Midwest weather with this, and I laughed out loud to the image you have crafted. Thank you for the smile.

Thank you, Amy! This has been a particualarly cold winter, harkening back to the 70's, when it was "always" like this. Sometimes I miss being in Texas...

Fun!
Though I think the snow blower would win in any battle with the lawn mower. I'm guessin' that a snow blower in snowy Minnesota 'works out' more than a lawn mower.

Thank you, loriannez! Surprisingly, I haven't had to use my snowblower much this year. Hence it plotting against the lawnmower! Glad you enjoyed...

In lawns with decillion blades ruthless mowers will still leave millions of them unchopped. Grass will outlive all mowers in the end.

Oh...Just the title alone of this piece made me smile.
We've had 35 snowfalls here this year...a record, many significant storms with vast new snow mountain ranges still in the parking lot. As I was cleaning my car off yet again yesterday, all I could think is...its almost over...its almost over...its almost over...its almost over. I'm sure the lawn mower is thinking along the same lines...."your reign is almost over..."
Delight-filled write for the minds of the snow-bound!

Thanks, Marianne. We've got a lot of snow still too, but haven't had a significant snowfall since right before christmas. It keeps missing us. Which got me to thinking about my snowblower, sitting there all lonely, not being used... lol
But man have we had it cold! It is almost over, but not yet...
