catches my soul
wonder if heaven's up there;
rays of warmth reach
to earth and our lives
with us these light beams do share.
Glorious gold globe
enlightens our days
shows constant compassion for all;
some sense it's brightness
to boost their morale
while others still missing the call.
My skin is atingle
my mind it does run
with fire and future ahead;
radiant lantern rises each morn
we bask in it's flame
then it sinks as we go to bed.

Enjoyed the read. I love the sun only when it's rising or setting, otherwise it's too hot for me LOL.

-
Bandits United!
I really enjoyed this poem
it was gentle and very beautiful... there were a few places where the lines could have been constructed differently (example: 'my mind it does run') but that is just my opinion
no offense meant... lovely words and a well deserved bronze to go with them - congratulations!
Keep writing

Bandits United!
A delightful poem, filled with wonderful imagery. That is one thing we can always count on, that the sun will rise each morning and set again each night right on schedule. The challenge for us humans each day is to let it's light shine through to our hearts. Very enjoyable piece!.

This is an interesting rhyme scheme - very soft! The author's notes could almost be part of the poem!
Happy bandit day!

Bandits United!
Such warmth in your amazing write. I could feel the sun beaming on my face as I was reading. Without the sun the world would be a pretty bland and dark place, it rising each new day gives me a new sense of hope. Excellent imagery I so enjoyed reading. I hope you enjoy your day in the spotlight you so deserve it

Nicely done to win the Bronze trophy.
I love the background colour you chose to set this poem off, as well as the font colour.
You've brought out the radiant warmth of this picture in your words as well as the use of colour scheme, and I like the way you've set it out, too.
The only little thing I feel I must bring to your attention is the use of 'do' in 'with us these light beams do share' and 'does' in 'my mind it does run'. It jumps out as being rather archaic language compared to the rest of this piece ~ but who knows...maybe in your neck of the woods, that's how the folks do speak!
We foreigners have to realise that the US has its dialects just like the next country ~ so if that's the case, dear Poet, please forgive me!
Loved it anyhow

Nicely done, and congrats on the bronze. A very good meditative piece and the theme suits this quite well. I'd like to see some sunshine soon where I live. Sure miss it, while it's dreary and cold outside.

-
Congrats on the bronze. The pic reminds me of how much power our creator must have in order to have created the sun ... if one really ponders the glory and magnitude of the universe it should let us know why we cannot look upon His face ... we would probably shrivel up and die.
Your poet was very fitting of the prompt

congrats on your award is there sun in BANFF-FF-FF GOOD ENDING title tres ordinaire but it works 1st lines=vg thanks for sharing regards zaj

Love To See Sunshine...........
especially on the col dark and dreary days of Winter. Like today we have had a full scale blizzard here in Ohio dumping over a foot and a half of snow. It is beautiful...but I wish we would have gotten this snow a month ago.Now I am ready for some of that beautiful sunshine and mediation you so eloquently wrote of here!!! Very nice job!!! Thanks for sharing!!!~~Toni~~

What a creative piece of poetry here. Isn't it true how that even the sun can effect our mood if it isn't out or during the winter months if we are not able to feel it's vibrancy and warmth. Thank you so much for entering my contest and all the best to you

Love & Respect,
~Joy
