Colour my world in blues and greens
Fill my head with beautiful dreams.
Sing my life in purple and red
All the things I’ve never said.
Write my story in yellow and pink
Create an everlasting link.
Colour my world, sing my life
Of all the joy and all the strife.
The failure and the glory
Of all these things write my story.
And if I never do anything great
A beautiful picture please create.
For all those who come behind me
The life of an ordinary person to see.

Some nice rhyming here - i almost wanted to add music to this as it has a very nice lyrical quality about it. I liked the wisdom of the lines "and if I never do anything great a beautiful picture please create"... I guess those words reflect the wishes and prayers of so many of us.

I think you described yourself and your aspirations well.
