pt...Vines and Branches

Missing image

My color is chameleon, my mind is like a vine

Inter-twining with current findings of life

and many loves included within my life time

Each day changes come along like branches

extending from a fruitful and thriving tree

My color blends with the daily challenges

reflecting my feelings and soul of the inner me

What color will I be today, I ask in anticipation

Were will my vine lead on this adventurous trail

Will my branches withstand the blowing wind

or break from sorrow and heartache I entail

The color of the chameleon is captivating indeed

in the challenge of natures demanding quest

It changes immediately with conflicting circumstance

and puts my sensual strength through life's daily test

So as life's trials and tribulations affect the inner me

Each quest I will consider and change the color of me

There is a quiet sense of strength and serenity about this "green" poem... and green is indeed the sound and the colour of spring, of renewal and life. The rhyming was done well too and gave the poem almost a singing quality.

I also liked the way you combined the chamelon, vines and branches of trees - all emphazising life, growth, change. Nicely done!

Thank you for sharing your colours with us in the contest.
