Two Times One Don't Equal Three

Twice the glory of one true love
But two times one don't equal three
One can last forever
One can last eternity
The competition's blazing
and there are four loving eyes
looking for the honor
of taking home the precious prize
Human nature is to envy
The legend is to fight
Twice the pain of broken hearts
will lead the beauty home tonight

Author notes

Option six, the quotes. I can't completely remember it, but it goes something like:

"I never said I'd fight fair."
"Neither did I."

I don't have the book with me, so I can't say the page number. But I believe it's from Eclipse... I hope that's okay...

This is a really good write, I love the lines "The competition's blazing and there are four loving eyes
looking for the honor". You can really feel the competition between Edward and Jacob. Excellent use of the propmt, Thanks for entering, and good luck.

I usually dislike rhyming poems. I don't like the restrictions the structure places on your writing. But this turned out well. I enjoyed reading it and it painted a picture for me. I love what you did with the prompt! Well done!!
