Children dancing.
Bouncing from one thing to another
on feather-light feet.
Inattentively dashing and weaving,
the picture of a cotton field in full bloom
before a gust of wind.

Thank you for the lovely comment and the placing. I was not sure exactly what was wanted, but I guess I have my answer.

sounds a lot like teh playground not far from my college. I go there often on a weekend in spring or autumn to watch the kids run and play. It is a very peaceful feeling.

I love and adore Basho. Your poem reminds me of a painting by Van Gough or Monet which was never painted because they did not live long enough to be wise enough but would have had they. Yep. That does it. Making you a fav.
I suspect you are extensively published. Your work simply fills my heart with joy.
