The Little Girl With The Big Shining Smile

By writing this poem I’d like to say sorry,
For all the bad things I’ve said.
Also for the things I’ll say in the future,
So please remember our good times instead.

This is a story about a girl,
And how she’s my friend.
I tend to upset her a lot,
But she always forgives me in the end.

The stupid things I say to her everyday,
How often I pay her out.
It’s just me being me but I make her so sad,
These things I say I feel bad about.

I mainly tease her about her height,
Although she’s not that shorter than me.
But no matter how short she is,
She makes up for it with her great personality.

We’ve been friends for 3 years,
So I guess you could say I’ve known her for a while,
She is my friend,
The little girl with the big shining smile.

Author notes

Sometimes we say things without thinking and regret it later, especially when it's to someone we care about.
