{Hope is what drives a drowning man to breathe
Beneath the crashing tides
Hope is what makes men leap toward the stars
To crash, shattered, back to earth
Hope is a double-edged sword -
One blade slices obstacles,
The other the self}
Hope is what calls the sea to shore,
Moistening sand so dry,
Hope is what grows mountains to the sky,
What holds the earth on its ballanced axis,
Poised out in the sky
{Then hope is but a centripetal force,
Moving forward in the status quo}
It is the force holding entropy at bay!
{Hope is entropy in and of itself,
Both making and undoing us}
All things that make us
Are the seeds of our undoing
{And at times, those that undo us,
Bear the seeds of our re-making...}
Author notes
Written on a conversation I had last night. It's not exactly describing what I did, so much as what I thought, and how another's words changed that.
For my WH. I love you.

I like this poem
Simple, poignant, true...it's everything, I think, you meant it to be and for some reason that comes across. Thank you, it's a great way to counter hopelessness.
