Bitter Sweet

I could never say that I wanted you to go
But making you stay was killing us both

And I know the pain my heart has indured
Will be worth you finding love you deserve

At night,at night tears will still fall down
I feel better knowing you won't catch them now

I was holding on tight when you let go
Becuase you knew the pain would devour us both
My love it hurts to see you leave
But I can not keep what doesn't belong to me

This poem was inspiered by the song You Will Be Loved by Death Cab for Cutie.So it has a very different writing style from anything else I've written.It's still in some what of an editing process so give me your honest opinion. Are there things I should revise should I add more in? I want to impove this as much as possible.

    Just like the title says, this is bitter sweet. Such loving & longing words yet the emotions cannot be expressed because of the barriers between the two people. I haven't read a poem that deals with this kind of love & acceptance, even if it is painful. Remarkable read. Very touching.
