There are contests that I wont enter,
because of who is holding them.
Have seen many bad poems rewarded,
with the silver or the gold.
When in reality, they were crap,
if the truth be told.
"You're my friend so I'll place you,
although others work was better"
"I wont correct that second stanza,
where you switched up a couple letters"
What a bunch of bullshit,
favoritism sucks ass.
Where a well written, flowing poem,
that moves smooth as glass.
Might, if your lucky, get a booger cup,
while the contest holders friends, all suck up.
Too bad it's this way,
so I no longer play,
but it's the way of this sick world.

Yes, this does happen a lot on here. I'm the first to admit that I don't know anything about judging on forms, unless it's acrostic and I couldn't tell you about flow and meter if I had too. So when I judge, the winners are the ones that appeal to me at that time. I may like a entry, then come back the next day to judge and that same entry just doesn't do it for me. My mood affects a lot of my contests and I'm sure I'm not the only one that does this.
So when you enter one of mine(as you just did
) it all depends......
I enjoyed reading this and I didn't mean to rant back at you, I'm just trying to be honest.

I think you said it all.. I really try so hard when I run contests to judge fairly because I know how it feels to be treated unjustly. I think others should take heed to the same idea as you stated here.. Great job.
