Undefined

Define innocence.
Too defenseless to kill?
Mind over matter,
strength upon will.

Define fear.
Too hopeless to fight?
Take note to the shaking,
death upon sight.

Define trust.
Too faithful to break?
A murmur unsilenced,
a soul unworthy to take.

Define courage.
Too strong in the heart?
Confidence unfathomed,
~a world apart~

Define intrigue.
Too involved to step back?
Blood on the altar,
comprehension I lack.

Define insanity.
Too mangled to weld?
Brightness devoured,
Beauty withheld.

Define guilt.
Too conscious to flee?
Doubting hearts,
disproving an entity.

Define regret.
Too pained to depart?
a stab in the chest,
a mental default.

Define love.
Too blind to act sure?
A deadly procession,
a toxin- no cure.

Define vengeance.
Too loathful to quit?
Senseless pursuit,
no room to aquit.

Define morose.
Too broken to function?
The shadows grow darker,
as does the compunction.

Lying here,
we realize-
We will always be
Undefined.

This probably sounds strange, but the second line of every stanza seems to demand why this emotion is 'too much,' why you need to revaluate because you feel. It's almost like you're screaming at the assumptious reader, saying, "Well? Am I?!"
    But, I get carried away.
The ending was, in a way, anticlimactic, but after the sharp 'demands,' it was sort of leaving the reader to be their same square selves, and it fit more than I expected.
    Well done, friend.
