Lying on a bed in the midst
of scarlet sheets, stained with
beautiful crystalline tears.
Your body shaking with effort of
conserving droplets, failing
to stop them from falling.
Let the shadows caress you.
Turn your sorrow and pain into
monochrome roses, black and white,
without thorns, unable
to harm your fragile emotions.
Let the darkest flames consume you.
During your darkest hours I return
to shroud you in my caliginous arms.
What a beautiful romance...
hidden in the shadows.

This is a poem of beautiful contrasts--shadows and love, dark and light, sadness and joy all seem to be in your lines.
What a beautiful romance
Hidden in the shadows

great take on the song. my favorit elines would have to be: Turn your sorrow and pain into
Monochrome roses, black and white
Without thorns, unable
To to harm your fragile emotions
Let the darkest flames consume you
During your darkest hours I return
They embody the chorus very well but at the same time you didnt just rip the song off. this was a great write and a pleasure to read. thanks for entering and best of luck.
