blank canvas

back then,
it mattered

you were somehwere near
the centre of my heart
but now,
as I see you
slowly moving east,
a wave of disappointment
spreads over me

now everthing's back to grey
exactly where I never
wanted it to return to

you never make clear
just what you're trying to tell me
so the words smear across
like noise
(not making any sense)

and now,
at every single intervel
I am not sure
of my place
in your heart

Isn't it sad to know
by gainig a new bossom friend,
you're losing touch
of an older one

it may seem
like I am
in a perfectly nice situation
but have you dug deeper
to see the hurt
thrown by bullies?

obviously not.

(maybe too little)

I loved the first few stanzas, those ones really spoke to me! Done very well!

    "now everthing's back to grey
    exactly where I never
    wanted it to return to"

    Thanks for entering my contest.

Not everyone looks beneath the surface... I find it very easy to fool people in thinking I am happy. Just like you explained it in this poem. Then on the other side it is sometimes like you say "words smear across
like noise" that you are trying to delf into someones soul and the message you get is all scrambled and you can't make out what it is really that seems to be the problem.

I think this was such a well written piece!
