i watch in the background
as my child gently folds her hands
she says the words so softly
so god can understand
i hear her ask him sweetly
as she bends down on her knees

i hope your day was wonderful
and i thank you from my heart
for the sun that shines upon us and the rains when it does fall
but thank you dear god
for my parents most of all

I Have Heard And Seen
such words of innocence from my own children when they were young. I do not know of a parent who cannot relate to the preciousness of a child like faith.
I wish we could only keep that faith as we age, that sense of awe and wonder in God.
