Slurps sipping away
Liquids in merriment
To put a grand show
For others amusement
One goes down
Second pushes one
Third is a charm
Fourth is a need
Fifth is the element
To complete the round
Of finishing bottles to empty
Laughing is the best medicine
And who could show you better?
Than a perfect drunk
Sitting, or standing, not sure,
Captivating audiences all over
With his spitting laughter session
Wow lucky one found two
For the price of one
Came with one spouse
Now got to take one on each arm
Back to home sweet home
Emotional turmoil unveils
Sudden burst of tears flow
The truth never seems to bite
Once that liquid goes inside
For a drunk believes in honesty
So what? Gets booted out of the party!
They sure are bilingual
For I can’t understand a word
Unfinished sentences form a puzzle
And meaning is beyond the dictionary
More I love you’s, come out
Jokes drop off empty pocket
Enough to leave others disgusted
Before never ending goodbyes
Everything is fine, so a drunk believes
Tripping on almost standing feet
Which set of keys to take?
The one on the left or the one on the right?
What the heck, got them both for a drive
Sitting behind the wheels
Singing to the radio tunes
Slamming speedometer to blazing speed
Wondering wow, the person standing next to the car
Can run so darn fast
Just forgot to shift the gear
No wonder can’t get home
Standing on same parking spot
Finally realized the fact
Silly just put the gear on drive
And zoom you go off the track
Bang! Something crashed
An innocent bystander is hit
Left to die, worse of all
Left crippled for life
Car skidded
Ran on to opposite road
For one final blow
Bang! One more time
…Finally the drunk driver is dead
No more jokes to crack
For life is anything but a joke
But it’s too late for a drunk
To realize the mistake
…Just too late
…Fete has spoken
…Final gate is shut
…Next gate is open
…Life told the final joke
Author notes
Just wondering what's the joke in such situation?
In a list
Please tell me what you think
