Werewolf

He'll stand on a mountain in the dark of the night.

He'll look to the sky and with himself he'll fight.

The moon is full and there's a battle from within.

The beast about to morph has chosen to win.

His mind is clouded with thoughts he can't control.

The animal from within has stolen his soul.

He'll scream in the darkness from all the torture and pain.

The stretch from the beast will drive him insane.

His flesh will shed and fur like wire will grow.

His eyes will turn crimson with a devilish glow.

Fingers will curdle into claws of a beast.

Teeth will devour us as their midnight feast.

Howls and screams are his nightly routine.

The carnage he leaves is one hell of a scene.

Stay clear of the night and know it's not a dream.

Or you too will be part of his howls and screams.

Love the picture and this was a great dark write, the images of transformation from human to beast were done so well that I could picture it happening. Thanks for your entry

Eek, very eerie... I have always found rabid animals scary and also things that go bump in the night, put them together and yeah, I wouldn't like this situation very much, wouldn't last one second.

This is so powerful, such amazing description. The imagery of the werewolf is absoultly stunning. Thank you so much for sharing this with my contest. A little dark for my current mood, but maybe in a week or so it might appeal more to my mood.

This is an awesome piece on werewolves. I grew up watching these old movies and still love them today. The old B&W ones are simply the best, although I have a few favorites filmed in color too!
