We didn’t take a walk here,
We were not at the present...
We were lost to this,
Under these illusions of brightness...
Clarity can be blinding,
And transparency confusing...
We let it go on,
We were present...
Watching & wondering,
How it ever came to this...
Millennia ago this our very own Eden!
In this present moment whose hell is it?
We the host of heaven, always in attendance!
Yes,were We there in the beginning?
Author notes
i liked the picture and it made me think of our world, taking a walk through it, if i had been there in the begining and now i see it, today - well?,

A day things change so frantically fast, to think of our past, of the journey we have already elapsed, sometimes its hard, to look at the time, the destruction of warfare, how brutal the minds of the world seem to be these days, but looking far beyond the tore up dirt roads, the logged paths, the patch work of concrete and tar, there is a beauty that is truly indestructable!!

thank you for the comment, i liked your interpretation, i think yes you are right, there is a bit of both destruction & beauty. but i think deep down we each of us know the real truth, most of us just choose to ignore it - and enouph of us doing that we just become uncaring.
thanks for the comment.

this could be so true as we each envision our journey in life, but the walk of nature always brings a lighter side to life, thank you for this entry, good luck...Moons

Interesting and original angle for a poem. On one hand, we were there in terms of "humanity" but weren't, of course, because we inherit the world our ancestors leave us with, for better or worse. I don't take the blame for things people "like me" did in the past, or as Mark Twain put it, "I'm less interested in what my grandfather did than what his grandson will do." (Paraphrased.)

Thought-provoking. I like your style! Thanks for your comment on my latest today.
