When life gave me lemons I made a sour face
when he turned away I had fallen from grace.
When the bridge I had to cross came with a riddle
I made it so that I distracted it with a fiddle.
When my heart felt like it would burst
I fell down face first.
When I finally reached the top of the mountain
you were there to see that i didn't cry and to make certain.

Ah, interesting diversion from your desire motif. I feel like this moving into the world of description of an event and away from the description of the emotion, although, retaining the longing and straining of your desire theme.

This is beautiful, and I really love the rhyming! Although in the last line I think you meant to say were rather than where.
Keep on writing!
