You were resplendent
in silver and gold
love seeped into me
like the flutter of wings
a rapturous voice
calling my name
but, why didn’t I
bring you from the cold?
I beg your forgiveness
my beautiful one
I escaped your only grasp
and walked in darkness
I lift up my voice now
in a temple of prayer
led by the maestro
of unrequited love

i don't really get it, but as an immature fifteen year old, i didnt expect to.
however i DID get how lovely it reads, how well it flows, its understandable beauty.

Well, fifteen is young compared to a rock, but I think you are more mature than you give yourself credit for.

This is really a 'boy meets girl of his dreams and lets her get away and regrets it' poem.
I'm glad you enjoyed it anyway and I appreciate your compliments and generous applause
Thank you
