But too cliché is "destiny"
And can't describe this peace I feel
Even during a frightful ordeal.
See, I've heard that you're worth hurting for-
Not from a source; it's so much more.
It's resonant within my core.
This Love is not how I adore
Your beautiful and smiling face
As I hold you in soft embrace.
This Love is more than you can know
And possibly than I can show
Because it transcends to the divine,
Through Him that I have piece of mind.
His love I now pass on to you
So if somehow we should fall through
It's his that's halted, but I'm still filled
With comfort that all is as He willed.
Does this affect your love for me,
To know that it's His light you see?
That only through His care I trust
Or overcome my prior lust?
My faith is strong, I don't repent
For too long my heart was poorly bent
To serve your every need and whim,
Only to be ignored again.
And now through holy faith alone
Can love continue, doubts overthrown.
Yes, now I love you one more time
But with support from my Love Divine.
Author notes
I've been through a lot with the person this poem was written to. I was trying to explain how I felt about her now, after everything else, and how my faith drove it. I couldn't find the words for it, though, and ended up changing the subject. "So I'll have to say I love you in a song.".. or at least an iambic poem. Anyway, that's the inspiration, and hopefully this gets the message across smoothly enough to be understood and not offend.

Amazing Write
I agree, however the sentiment was still a beautiful one.

By the way...this was a huge mistake. Never give your heart to someone you can't trust directly.

you indeed got your message across and very beautifully, GOD IS INDEED LOVE AND IT IS OUR TO SHARE GOD BLESS
