sun is tired
it hides in arid shades
in hedges uncovered
its open fire fades
I think of cheekbones
and of brows
some lingering smiles
and curdled colours
your eyes become the gentle
breeze stroking gold tresses
fingered tips of leaves
kissing soft lips in trace
restless days turn
motionless and mellow
rain drizzles sun-dry stains
autumn shows its face
in copper and burnt ocher
that soon will turn ivory
and chrome
in achromatic warp
when we shall turn
to soulful stroll
and dreamlike
love

this verse is just delightful ...
so many hidden meanings here to unburry ... I love the metaphor of the tired sun hiding in arid shades ...
a masterpiece !
