Why Not?

Children die in conflicts
Started by grown men,
Why?

Armies drive off families
From their long held land,
Why?

Starvation is quite common
Where conflict does hold sway
Why?

There is enough for everyone
If we all choose to share.
Why Not?

This is so true, but you know what the saddest thing of all is...People overlook the starving at home. I see sadness everywhere but the greatest sadness are those who are forgotten because they live in the same land. Good job on this piece. I wish everyone would share. We would all be happy, but alas, some want more than theirs.

Those at home in your street are always there, therefore it's normal, therefore it is ignored. It is sad that we cannot care for our own neighbors without expecting something in return. Appreciate your comments and thoughts.

It is a sad reflection on the uncaring attitude of those in power that they who have differences can't settle them without afffecting so many innocents, especially children.
