Does Anybody Hear Her?

She sits there in the corner tears rolling down her face,

Wondering if she'll ever get out and leave this place.
Upon her cheek you see the imprint of his hand,
For this is the life that wasn't in her plan.
Silently he ties her sound, making sure she won't emmit a sound as He takes advantage of this poor soul.
Does anybody hear her, how she cries to get out?

Can nobody hear her scream of pain and fearful shouts.
She walks the streets feeling sad and alone,
Knowing good and well she can never go back home without Having a broken limp or bone.
Does anybody hear her as she gets beaten everyday?
Feeling broken by his hands to her dismay.
Does anybody see her as she dies inside, as he violates her, taking Her on a ride.

Can you hear her now?

How she tries to leave him so, he never letting her go.

Does anybody hear her, as she screams with all her might,

Trying to leave without a guresome fight?

Does anybody hear her, singing those same old blues, as her dead

And beat up body appear on the ten o'clock news.

This poem says so much about the world of the abuser
I can relate but in my case it was my mum that beat me.Good luck in the contest.

I like this piece and it highlights something that is far to prevelant in this world, people turning the other way to abuse, people either not noticing or pretending it doesn't happen.

    Good write.

This was very sad. Um....I like the fact that you used rhyme, however, I wish the meter count would have been a bit better. Other that that, this was good.

    Good Luck,
    Erika
