Our forgotten friends:
Once up close and personal
now distant and strange.
Awkward waves and shallow smiles...
Hours of talking and sharing.
Weaving a friendship.
Weaving a blanket of company.
Weaving a shield of security.
We poured out our souls
and sipped at them carefully.
Timidly trying each other's heart,
the elixir to our lonely souls.
Wrapping ourselves in a cocoon.
What is the genius of that?
The ones we'll remember forever
are only with us for a while

Life is great. I like how things can change right in front of your eyes and you don't notice until days/months/years later

Great message in this. I hate how people who are best friends just suddenly grow apart and you never notice until it's too late and conversations just feel awkward. I was just talking about that the other night, actually. Great write Madi.

that part of the poem is deffinately the best in the ways of wordchoice and expression and keeping my interested.
the whole thing is good though because i understand what you mean. If i would have put it in words i would have said it diffrently of course but you did a good job sayin what you meant. This is a cleeshay (sp lol)but change is good it's just really scary cus you don't know right away if it's good or bad. Loves ya!
