We thought everything was right
For us there was no pain
Just happiness together
Through sunshine and therain
Then we began to drift apart
Until finally you were gone
You’d found another love
When I thought I was the one
[chorus]
Now who’s gonna love me
Who’ll wipe away my tears
As I lie awake each night
Who will calm my fears
I thought we were gonna make it
Right up until the end
But then just like that
The pain and heartache crept in
Now she has you, and I have memories
Of days filled with happiness
Someday perhaps you’ll be replaced
Until then I live in loneliness
[chorus]
Now who’s gonna love me
Who’ll wipe away my tears
As I lie awake each night
Who will calm my fears

I hear several classic songs running in my head...we';; just steal their music and add your words.
Your sister worries about you (comment below) doesn't she ever read you? You write funny stuff, that is happy.
But it is sad, but lets face it, sad songs about love sell far better than the happy, romantic ones...not that I've done any research on the matter.

Thanks, Yem. Now that I think of it there's a lot more sad love songs than happy ones so maybe there's hope for me, huh. Maybe if I'd thrown in a Ford pickup truck in this one... oh, and railroad tracks... gotta have those in a hit country song... maybe the Ford truck could have been run over by the train when it stalled on the tracks... now there's a hit for sure!! I should approach Garth Brooks with that

I just have fun writing what few lyrics I've done... so that's happy, right??!! I always end up writing the chorus first, though

a sad song for my first read of the day, i will book a slot at the local club for your debut performance dee

So you just wrote this...very good...now to put it to music...but it is so sad...I wish you would write happy things...I worry about you ...Love ya...

Well, you know you don't need to worry about me in that department... and this song isn't about me, not in any way. You know how songs are, especially country western, which is what this pretty much is. I have a couple of other lyrics posted in my 'Lyrics' list on my author page, one sort of like this one and the other sort of happy sad. I'm working on that one though. It's not quite what I want

Beautiful and wonderful writting
Love will be strong when the right one come alone. Better now then later because the pains would of been deeper. I know.
Love you sis

Bravo. If all that you do is this good then you might have a new career as a song writer.

Well I never thought of you singing but this is beautiful, sad but well versed, good flow and word choice, good luck..moons
