Shattered bridges
of long ago
latticed with vine’s strong hold;
barricaded attempts
of any infiltration
sunlit hopes faded to reason
until your eyes
graced mine
glittering flecks of unknown hues
revealed inner strength
to clarity
with lowered brow placed
against my blush
sighs of love
called to me;
from a dream
once dared
to whisper
caressing my soul to stream,
mending all wounds to moss,
your tender heart kept beat
for this lonely garden
I have longed for this journey
of flowered flight to bud;
armed in bouquets of forget-me-nots,
relinquishing sorrows
upon lost petals
You~
tended my heart
bequeathing
new blossoms
to seed~
