Beyond our minds we want to know.
What is this life that circles round?
Where are we from, where are we bound?
Are we as dust the winds do blow?
Sharp squawk of crow or bleat of doe,
Those in the air, creatures aground,
Beyond our minds we want to know.
What is this life that circles round?
Bright stars above hard rocks below,
Our young men dead upon the ground,
Those long before in sacred mound,
It’s all of this in loops that flow,
Beyond our minds we want to know.

“The life of a man is a circle”
Black Elk, Oglala Sioux
"What is life? It is the flash of a firefly in the night. It is the breath of a buffalo in the wintertime. It is the little shadow which runs across the grass and loses itself in the sunset."

I like this.
I think that you matched the words of Crowfoot. I will have to show this one to my friend Steve who is Indian as well. He traveled all over the United States and retired from the Forestry Division. -
excellent write, we want to know, it is this curiousity that leads us to God. God bless

Another nice one.
This is a very nice one Jim and yes there is the circle of life. More than just the song in The Lion King. Again this is one to enjoy.
