Winning the Lottery
I’d buy a lottery ticket and win a million quid
I‘d travel round the teta and feed a million kids
I’d have a ding dong party, we’d mamba all the time
We’d drink lots of dandicup and have a real good time
I’d go and get my hair done so the lads would fancy me
Then I’d call boyfriend and have him round for tea
Then we’d have a dwindlepop or maybe even two
And then we’d phone our friends to have a chatteroo
I’d buy a bling blong house and maybe a car or two
Then I’d sit on my new swoona and have a smookaroo
I’d treat my mum and dad to anything they need
And buy Aunty Mable’s parrot a bag of smelly seed
I’d buy the dog a lollipop and put it in his mouth
Then I’d take him walkies all around the house
The cat could have a lickapop to put in her new bed
And she could have a puckernoo so she could scratch her head
I’d buy myself a bicycle to take me down the road
I’d even get Aunt Ada some sploady mooady toad
I’d dishon with my money and have a shon or two
Or maybe I’m just dreaming just like all of you.

O so good. So mocking. The persona seems to have an ironic smile throughout the entire poem because she knows its just silly dreaming. But I am delighted by this silly dreaming and she mocks my delight. Damn you in the kindest way.
