Love song for songbird.
Where am I tonight my love, which is a waking dream and which is sleep?
I have only questions swimming around my head.
I need some uplifting quotations to get me through to the next caress from you.
The past is such a long bitter road behind me.
Do I really need to pick up today’s papers to remind us both what a mess this world has become???
Your eyes are like radars picking up the pain in my heart.
I am old now and sentiments come slow and hard to an endangered creature of habit like me.
But if love is what you are needing there is a waterfall flowing from my heart to yours
Every drop of it is there to soothe and quench your thirst.
And when my silence leaves you tearful and frustrated remember the message in the songs we sang
And the joke of life will make you laugh not cry.
We are not singing songs of praise or power, only our own sweet love song to music itself.
And if I have helped you climb that ladder high above your own doubts and depression,
You have done far more good for me.
You have filled my heart with the richest blood and given me the strength of mountains.
Like an eagle gliding through the canyons of my imagination you have given me the gift of flight and freedom.
Let’s walk again out in that troubled world and try to share our harvest with those starving for the foods of love.
Your voice is pure and clear and true,
And there is nothing I can ever sing for you
You will not sing sweeter for me.
Let me hold you now until the sweet rain of sacrifice wets our skin with tears.
No one has an answer to life’s mysteries
But some of us can lose ourselves in song.

What a beautifull dedication...
filled with sweet, flowing thoughts and words, that brush everything else aside, in thier persuit of the expression of love...
notwithstanding the "long, bitter road behind us..."
for "there's a waterfall of love, flowing from my heart to yours..."
Love breaks down all barriers...and in the end, it is all that matters
Enjoyed very much, keep on singing!
