My mirrored room
reflects shadows
taking little steps back towards the dark.
I turn away softly
lighting candles
with compositions of tomorrow
that whisper smiles;
and I curl within a vision
of sunflowers and sheltered skies
that keep me moving on...

This is fun, concise write! Thanks for sharing your vision. Your second stanza is my favorite, "compositions of tomorrow" wonderful wording. You made me smile! -

Another good write here. I clicked on the newest poems and found you there. Glad that I did. I think the darkness scares all of us if we are honest. The visions we create are usually what keeps us going. I like the vision of sunflowers and sheltered skies. It's a clean, safe place to be. God bless.
