Eerie prompt. I'm not sure I understand "creaky judgement", though "teetering" and "edge of...judgement" create powerful images. As does "without legs to stand". Well done. Congrats on the silver!

Diane thanks for your great comment. I think you are right about creaky judgement, it seems to contradict the 'without a leg to stand" line. I believe the error resulted from a last minute edit where I realized I had one too many words, and in the rearrangement, I unintentionally altered the meaning of the sentence. I'll have to go back and see what I can do to fix it. Thanks so much.!
I think I will use "creeping" no that I think about it."
